We had known for quite awhile that our Mental Health and Wellness Education Program needed a new home. Recovery College was growing, and although the space we were in was beautiful, we had found that it wasn’t configured to meet our changing needs. After much searching and negotiating we found a space that we thought would work really well for us. The building owner wanted to focus on tenants who came from the non-profit world, and was truly excited to have us in his building.

Which brings us to the next steps
We need to know what works, or doesn’t work, for people who have taken our online education. We also need your help to develop the recovery focused education you want to see in the future and we need you to tell us whether you want the education to happen in classrooms, online, or both.
- If you have taken online education from us, please complete this 5 minute (or less) survey.
- If you would like to help us plan for the future, sign up for one or more of these co-development Zoom sessions. We want to hear from people with lived experience, family members, the professional community, and people who live in rural central alberta.
Co-development is a big part of the Recovery College model. We are committed to listening to the wisdom of the group of people who can make Recovery College grow as part of our Central Alberta community. The people who use Recovery College themselves or refer potential participants to us are what make Recovery College a great place to be.
So, do you know what we are doing already (bet it is more than you think)?
We also have a complete listing of the courses we offer at Recovery College here: https://recoverycollegecentralalberta.ca/courses/ You will find this month’s classes here: https://recoverycollegecentralalberta.ca/events/
Information from you will lead us to that all important next step.
And while you are on the site, consider registering for your next class from the events page!.
