Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize and review risk, and intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. It is by far the most widely used, acclaimed and researched suicide intervention training workshop in the world.
Attending a two-day ASIST course will train you to intervene with an individual who is suicidal. Periodic half day “tune-ups” are required to maintain your certification.
Thursday and Friday
April 12 and 13
8:30 – 4:30
The cost for the two day training is $250. Individuals who wish to take the course for whom the tuition would be a hardship and who do not have employer or agency funding may qualify for financial assistance.
