Art of Friendship is an eight-week Canadian Mental Health Association course. Meet new friends. Learn new skills. Make new community connections. Build self-confidence. Reduce loneliness and laugh more. Topics will include tolerance, healthy boundaries, values, trust, responsibility and commitment. It is particularly helpful for people who want to improve their quality of life by learning and practicing the skills needed to develop and keep healthy friendships through peer support and a focus on recovery..
February 15 through April 5, 2018
The fee for Art of Friendship is $25, which covers only our materials for the course. The full cost of the program is much more. If you are in a position to be able to pay more than the materials fee, it would help us provide services to other people who are not as fortunate. CMHA Red Deer donations and other funding sources make it possible to offset some of the costs of educational programming for people with limited incomes. We never refuse enrollment to people based on an ability to pay for the course and we will work with you to make the course affordable.
Course attendance is limited to 8 to 12 participants.
Please contact CMHA to discuss the course and help determine if it is right for you. Call: 403-342-2266. Complete course information can be found at http://reddeer.cmha.ca/programs-services/art-of-friendship/
